2020 changed many lives forever but it was also the year that I fell in love with cycling. During lockdowns many of us were under pressure, working from home not knowing if our businesses would survive, children not at school or childcare, needing constant attention and reassurance that things would return to normal soon, not a space to really escape was mentally crushing us all.
I used to only commute on my bike from client to client but during 2020 I decided to jump on and go out for a ride, still wearing trainers and looking like a total dick my distances improved, my fitness increased, and I was loving it. I bought some cycling shoes and new pedals, after a few falls I became quite accustomed to clipping in and out. The difference that made to my cycling was noticeable, at the same time I also started focusing my strength training towards improving my power on the bike. As I became stronger my cycling improved too, now I want to bring my experience of personal training for nearly 20 years all together to make other cyclists like myself fitter, stronger and happier on the bike.
